Team Leading Apprenticeship

What does the course aim to do?

The Team Leading Intermediate Apprenticeship has been developed to support those working as team leaders, section leaders, floor managers, help desk managers, trainee supervisors, team coordinators and those working in a range of other team leader positions.

It can help build a competent management workforce, providing organisations of all sizes across all sectors with the staff needed to increase productivity and efficiency. Tap into the skills and talents of a diverse population by providing flexible entry routes into a career in management. Equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to undertake management roles in a range of business settings and provide apprentices with an opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and experience they will need to progress to higher level roles with additional responsibilities and onto further and higher education, if they wish to do so.

What qualifications will the learner achieve?

Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship qualifications listed above via the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). 

How will the learner’s progress be assessed?

The learner’s skills and knowledge will be assessed in the work place by an appointed assessor/tutor who will assess the learner’s skills, competence and knowledge.

Are there any entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for learners undertaking this qualification, but the learner will undertake an initial assessment to determine the level of qualification they can undertake and they must be in a management/Team leader role.

Government funding is available for a large number of Apprenticeships with some sectors identified as priority.
