Level 2 is ideal if you have some knowledge and basic skills in the motor industry - you're probably a general fitter or mechanic working under supervision. You want to show your competence and continue to develop, perhaps to take on more responsibility or a specialist role.
At Level 2 you choose from different qualifications depending on your job role. The options are:
NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Operations
NVQ in Vehicle Body and Paint Operations
NVQ in Vehicle Fitting Operations
NVQ in Roadside Assistance and Recovery.
Within your chosen qualification, you choose one specialist pathway, comprised of a number of core and optional units (core units only in the Roadside Assistance and Recovery qualification).
Level 3 is ideal if you have plenty of experience in the motor industry, perhaps supervising others in a team. You want to develop your skills further in a specialist area such as electronics or bodywork and perhaps move into a management role or start your own business.
At Level 3 you choose from different qualifications depending on your job role. The options are:
NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
NVQ in Vehicle Fitting Operations
NVQ in Roadside Assistance and Recovery.
You choose one specialist pathway within your chosen qualification, and you then complete a number of core and optional units (core units only in the Vehicle Fitting Operations qualification).
