Apprentice Warehouse Operative

Certas Energy UK Ltd are the largest distributor of fuel and lubricants in the UK with a customer base serving residential, business and specialist marine and aviation companies with fuel and lubricants.  Certas Energy are looking to recruit an individual who is keen to develop, wants to learn and who takes pride in their work as an Apprentice Warehouse Operative at their Kettering depot.

The job role comprises carrying out a variety of job duties in a busy warehouse environment to include:

• Receiving packed deliveries and loading/unloading vehicles
• Carry out fork lift truck activities in the warehouse and yard.
• Assist with stock checks
• Prepare vehicle loads in line with daily demand
• Receiving bulk lubricants into the internal tank farm.
• Carry out relevant paperwork and documentation at all times
• To understand the nature and hazards in handling and carriage of bulk liquids

GCSEs grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent) are preferred but not essential.

• Physically fit
• Punctual

There is the possibility for a permanent position for the right apprentice upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Hours:  40 per week.  Alternative shifts:  6am-2pm/11am-7pm Monday to Friday.  Some weekend and evening working may be required.

Wage:  £269 per week
