What is included in an Advanced Apprenticeship?

You have to complete the City and Guilds Level 3 in Hairdressing, Key Skills at Level 2 in Communication and Application of Number and the Employment Rights and Responsibilities work pack.  If you have grades of C+ at GCSE level in English and Mathematics you will not have to do your Key Skills.

What do I have to do?

We operate the Advanced Apprenticeship differently to the Apprenticeship.  By this point you are earning money for the salon, so they are reluctant to release you from the salon for 1 day training each week.  Instead, we will arrange for an assessor to come out to the salon to assess you on your practical observations, and you will come into Aston for 1 day every month for all your theory training.
